Vaux Big Picture High School

Vaux High School originally built in 1936 by the Philadelphia School District and mothballed in 2013. The building was reopened in 2017. Big Picture Philadelphia is part of the national Big Picture Learning Network, which successfully serves promising youth in more than 50 schools nationwide.

As part of recommissioning of the building Devine Brothers performed the following work:

  • Demo and Remove two HB Smith Mills 4500 boilers
  • Furnished and two Weil McLain 7500 MBH dual fuel steam boilers
  • Furnished new high pressure gas service
  • Furnished new boiler room steam piping
  • Furnished new 104’ chimney liner
  • Furnished new boiler controls
  • Furnished new air conditioning for classrooms
  • Recommissioned and repaired classroom fan coil units
  • Furnished new building controls
  • Repaired/replaced bathroom fixtures and plumbing
